Are you a bullet journal newbie and feeling overwhelmed about what you need to get started? You’ve come to the right place! In order to get started, you need to find the perfect Bullet Journal Notebook.
Yes, you can use any old notebook in which to start your bullet journal, just make sure it has a good strong binding and the paper resists pen bleeding and ghosting. Here are my favorites.

I prefer the dotted version. Just enough guidance to make those lines straight.
Here’s a gorgeous gray color. This one is lined for those of you that like more of a traditional notebook.
And a vivid orange. These pages look like graph paper if you need lots of help with creating straight lines.
Here’s a gorgeous underwater blue, dotted.
And just in case you prefer precise notes or tiny writing, here’s Moleskine’s smallest notebook in a 2-pack.
And have you ever heard of a Cahier? Neither have I until I started bullet journalling. Here’s a pack of three!
And last but not least in the specialty journal category is Rhodia.
Here’s one option with dotted paper – my favorite.
And if you don’t really want a standard notebook, Rhodia has notepads as well. This one is stapled, but they also have wire bound.
And finally, if you’re tired of the boring old rectangle-shaped notebook, try this beautiful square, wire-bound grid notebook. Mix it up a little.
So, that’s it. My top three favorite brands of notebooks. Did I forget any notebooks? Which one is your favorite?
